After an early morning meeting we decided to stop in for breakfast at Riding House Cafe. As you might expect from the name, a lot of the menu items and decor is horse themed. The breakfast menu has a good selection of healthy foods and juices, as well as some more hearty (and less healthy) options like brioche french toast and pancakes.
Even at 10am on a Thursday it was still quite busy so booking is definitely advisable. Breakfast is served until 12 on weekdays with a brunch menu on the weekends.
I went for the Racer to drink – a blend of chocolate, espresso, banana and milk. It was so good although quite filling if you’re having it with a big breakfast, so be warned! My partner went for the green juice which is kale, spinach, celery, cucumber, apple, ginger and lemon – looked way too healthy for me but he enjoyed it! The lobster benedict was great, I had the small portion for £10 since I wasn’t too hungry after the drink but I’d definitely want the bigger portion for £17.50 if I hadn’t had that.
At around £20 a head (with the smaller portions, no alcohol but including service) it’s a great spot for a nice breakfast with really friendly service and I’d love to return to try their other menus.
